My goal is to blog again. As a working mom to three kids, or as a mom in general, I do not have much time to write in their baby books. I do have some time that I can squeeze some typing in. Manning will be 17 months old tomorrow, he is an absolutely joy! He has mastered some new looks lately, I am expecting daggers to start shooting out of his eyes any day now. Caroline has been going to dance class since August and LOVES IT. It is such a relief that she is enjoying something. She doesn't care for soccer and kind of likes playing basketball. She will atleast run the court for basketball, very little to no effort was put forth during soccer season. It will probably be her last. Annabelle is loving dance, soccer (but the running makes her feet hurt, she reminds me of this face nearly daily), basketball, school. Annabelle is one of the top readers in Kindergarten. She has been taking AR book points since October, one of the very few to do so in her grade. As of today she has 37.5 points. She took 7 tests today. Last week she brought home her report card and it had her MAP testing scores on it. We didn't get the scores in the fall so I was clueless on where she stood and even after bringing them home I had to google pretty hard to get a table I could understand to decipher her scores. Those scores, they are pretty good - 98th percentile for reading (thanks mom) and 94th percentile for math (thanks dad). Her teacher is predicting she will either be a doctor or a lawyer. I just hope she keeps excelling and doesn't peak in 2nd grade like her momma did :)
One thing I love about blogging is that I can brag on my kids, get it out of my system into writing without really anyone reading about it. I just feel so much better to get it out!

UPDATE
After an almost 2 year hiatus I think I will start blogging again. It is the best way I know how to write down my memories. Since my last post, we have moved into a new house and had another baby. Manning Clay was born September 17th, 2013. He is almost 1! He is a giant :) Loves his sisters more than anything. He has completed our family even though we didn't know anything was missing. My big girl has started Kindergarten (August 7, 2014) - Class of 2027. My Caroline is now the only Welch at her daycare (until little bro joins her after he turns a year old). She has adjusted like a champ. Annabelle has been waiting for the first day of kindergarten for her entire life (feels like). She LOVES it. I love it for her. She had refused to learn to read before starting K. When I would ask her why she would always respond "that's what kindergarten is for mom! to learn to read" She knows lots of site words and is on the VERGE of being able to read completely. It is one of the most awesome things, someone right on the tip of being able to completely explode on a new ability. She is only 3 days (well 4 counting today) and they haven't even tried reading yet but she is just about there, only because she is now finally in Kindergarten.
I am so excited for our future. I hate that the kids get older but the excitement makes up for that. They will always be my three little birds.
